Dewsbury Rams proved too strong for Keighley Cougars in Round 4 of Betfred League One as they claimed their first home win of the new campaign.
Three tries and a penalty-goal gave the Rams a 20-0 lead at the interval and despite Keighley responding with two tries in the second half to narrow the gap to just eight points, Dewsbury held on - and a late try from Jack McShane ensured their victory.
There was a splendid showcase between Swinton and Goole at Heywood Road on Sunday, as the Lions snatched a win in the closing stages.
In a match that swung like a pendulum, it was a breath-taking affair with the Vikings eventually edged out by a seasoned Swinton. Aaron Lynch’s try and Reece Briers’ successful conversion on the 70th minute proved to be the match-winner.
A table topping Midlands continued their unbeaten run with a convincing win over Newcastle.
It was a ten-try display including a hat-trick from Ryan Johnson and braces from Matty Chrimes and Tom Wilkinson as the Hurricanes currently lead the way at the top of League One.
Likewise, North Wales maintained their 100% winning start to the 2025 competition as they came from behind to beat Workington in Cumbria.
It was a tale of two halves with the hosts racking up an initial 14-4 lead at halftime, before the Crusaders came out fighting in the second stanza.
Ollie Brookes became the recipient of a pass to the wing and touched down, reducing Town's lead to just four points.
A scintillating encounter ensued, but it was the Crusaders who secured the two points in the final five minutes as Jordy Gibson weaved his way over the line to level the scores before Jamie Dallimore nailed the conversion.
Finally, Whitehaven blitzed Cornwall with 14 tries away in Penryn, and were leading an incredible 42-0 after the first forty.
Haven have now climbed to second on the league ladder following the results of Round 4...
